Yzerfontein
Yzerfontein is an unspoilt West Coast town about 80km from Cape Town along the R27 West Coast Road. It has excellent Guest House accommodation and internationally renowned open-air and also a la carte restaurants. The attractions are eco-tourism based and include spring wild flowers, Southern Right and Humpbacked whales, countless bird, animal and plant species, fish (especially snoek), crayfish, perlemoen, extensive unspoilt coastline with both rocky and sandy beaches including the famous sixteen mile beach.
Yzerfontein is as known for its natural beauty, vast stretches of beach and tranquillity, as it is for its tradition of hospitality. Basking in year round sunshine, a splendid winter climate where balmy, daytime temperatures rarely fall below 10 degrees.
